What’s inside the black boxis still a mystery.
We’re the prism that brings it into the light.
BlackBox is a podcast exploring how artificial intelligence is designed, engineered, interpreted, and applied across every sphere of society. Founded by four USC students united by a commitment to responsible innovation, we bring together diverse voices to examine how AI can expand human potential without replacing independent thought.
Through accessible, interdisciplinary conversations, we ask how society can anticipate unintended consequences, build meaningful guardrails, and treat AI as a tool and creative partner, not a substitute for human judgment. Our mission is to open the black box and bring transparency to AI, making complex ideas clear, engaging, and digestible for everyone shaping, and being shaped by, our technological future.
Anticipate the Unintended
We consider the consequences of new systems before they become problems.
Build Meaningful Guardrails
Norms, rules and design choices that keep AI accountable to the people it affects.
A Tool and Creative Partner
AI should support human judgment, not stand in for it.
Open to Everyone
Complex ideas made transparent, engaging and digestible, whatever your background.
